Samsung Galaxy A22 gets the latest security update

One of the most popular budget smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A22, has received its latest security update for this year.

Here's What We Know

The Galaxy A22, which usually receives two security updates each year, has now received its second security patch for 2024. The update includes the May 2024 security patch, which fixes a total of 45 vulnerabilities.

The firmware version A225FXXS9DXE1 is now available for Galaxy A22 smartphones, including the European variant with model number SM-A225F. This latest security update can be accessed by navigating to Settings, Software Update, and Download & Install.

Samsung plans to continue to provide support for security updates for the Galaxy A22 until next year, although major OS updates for this device have been discontinued.
