Journalist Sigmund Judge has successfully turned an iPad Pro into a portable Apple TV device, which he calls Apple TV Go.
Here's What We Know
The project involved modifying the iPad Pro to be powered by USB-C, routing an HDMI signal from the Apple TV to the iPad using a USB video capture device, and other technical improvements.
The iPad Pro was adapted for USB-C power, allowing it to work as part of the Apple TV without the need for a standard power supply.
The HDMI signal from the Apple TV was routed to the iPad via a USB device. This enables the iPad to display content that would normally be played on a TV through Apple TV.
Judge also created a custom Magic Keyboard with a silver body and black keys that matches the design of Apple TV's Siri Remote.
