Sid Meier's Civilisation VII, the new instalment of the iconic historical grand strategy game from Firaxis, was announced at Summer Game Fest
At Summer Game Fest 2024, the announcement of "a sequel to one of 2K's most popular and successful franchises" © was indeed made.
For almost two months gamers, insiders and journalists discussed what the American publisher would show. There were two main versions: Mafia 4 and Borderlands 4, but neither of these games was never presented.

But fans of historical strategies were surely satisfied: 2K and Firaxis studio announced a new part of Civilisation.
Unfortunately, the public was not presented any gameplay footage, but the cinematic trailer looks very atmospheric and promising and confirmed the logo of Sid Meier's Civilisation VII, which hit the web yesterday.
A gameplay trailer is promised to be shown in August, but the game's description states that the gameplay will be familiar to the series:
Reign as one of the many legendary leaders in world history. Build your civilisation, expand your territory by building cities and architectural marvels, fight or cooperate with rival civilisations for prosperity and explore the far corners of an uncharted world. Can you build an empire that will stand the test of time?
When We Can Expect It
Sid Meier's Civilisation VII is expected to release in 2025 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
