Gothic, double-barrelled and heavy rock: Doom: The Dark Ages has been announced

At Xbox Games Showcase 2024 publisher Bethesda and id Software announced a new instalment of the legendary shooter Doom.

Here's What We Know

The information of insiders is fully confirmed: the new game will be called Doom: The Dark Ages and will be a prequel to the previous two parts.

The shooter is really made in medieval surroundings, although the word "gothic" is more suitable. Judging by the video, the executioner Rock (Doom Slayer) will have a brutal shield, with the help of which he will be able not only to defend himself from demons' shots, but also to saw them into pieces.

When We Can Expect It

Doom: The Dark Ages will be released in 2025. The game will be released on PC (Steam), Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
