YouTube videos can be found using the camera: Google Lens on YouTube is now available on Android
YouTube's search bar for Android has received a new Google Lens integration.
Here's What We Know
For users who have this feature activated, the Google Lens icon will appear in the top right corner of the full-screen search page when you open it. Located between the search bar and the microphone (with Hum to Search), it opens the familiar Google Lens camera interface.
Google Lens is used to identify objects and perform OCR (optical character recognition) using optical scanning. For example, when scanning an iPhone 13 Mini, the visual search tool displayed the YouTube Search carousel. Clicking on a result takes the user directly to the corresponding YouTube search. A broader Google Search option is also available.
The Google Lens integration in YouTube search is not yet available to everyone, but it will appear on devices that have access to and sign in to the same account. The lens icon also appears at the top of the search results page.
