Apple ID renamed to Apple Account

The company has officially renamed Apple ID to Apple Account. This change will appear in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11.

Here's What We Know

According to Apple, the purpose of the rebranding is to create a more consistent login experience for users across all Apple platforms and devices.

Some places, such as the Apple ID login page on the web, still use the old branding.

The transition to Apple Account is expected to be fully completed in time for the release of iOS 18 and other software updates scheduled for later this year.
