Back in 1986, the American writer Scott Turow published the novel Presumed Innocent. In 1990, the novel was adapted into a film starring Harrison Ford. A lot of time has passed since then, and now a new adaptation of the novel has premiered on Apple TV+, but in the form of a series.

The series takes viewers on a journey through a gruesome murder that shakes up the Chicago prosecutor's office when Chief Deputy State's Attorney Rusty Sabich is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to save his family and marriage. The lead role is played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
The first two episodes premiered on 12 June, and then one new episode will be released every Wednesday until 24 July on Apple TV+. There will be 8 episodes in total.
