When Ukraine to receive Dutch F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters

Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren told Eurointegration in an interview about plans to transfer F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to Ukraine.

When We Can Expect It

According to the Minister, the first batch of Dutch aircrafts is planned to be transferred to Ukraine this summer. Then the supply of fighter jets will be put on a stream. By the way, Kajsa Ollongren confirmed that Ukraine will receive the first F-16 Fighting Falcon not from the Netherlands, but from Denmark. Earlier it was reported that the Danish aircraft will arrive in Ukraine in early summer. In total, the Ukrainian Air Force will receive more than 60 aircraft from partners.

F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multifunctional light fighter. It was developed by the American company General Dynamics. Due to its versatility and low cost, the F-16 is a success on the international market. It is in service with 24 countries. The F-16 is the most mass-produced fighter of the fourth generation. As of 2009, more than 4,400 have been built, and in 2016, more than 2,500 were in service.
