Xiaomi is preparing to release an updated version of the Redmi Pad SE tablet, called Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G. The novelty differs from its predecessor with support for 4G networks and more compact dimensions with a screen diagonal of 8.7 inches.

The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G has been spotted in the IMEI database, indicating the imminent launch of sales in international markets. The device has received two model numbers denoting the sales regions. Namely 24076RP19G and 24076RP19I, where the last letter G stands for "Global" and I stands for "India". There is no information about the availability of the Chinese version yet.

The specifications of the new tablet are expected to be similar to the previous model, but there are no official confirmations from Xiaomi yet. The expected launch date of the novelty is July this year.
