Samsung Galaxy S22 receives security update for June 2024

Following the updates for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23, Samsung has released the June 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. The new software contains fixes for 59 vulnerabilities and is now available for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra models sold in Europe with model numbers SM-S901B, SM-S906B, and SM-S908B.

Here's What We Know

The update has version number S901BXXSAEXEC for Galaxy S22, S906BXXSAEXEC for Galaxy S22+ and S908BXXSAEXEC for Galaxy S22 Ultra.

How To Switch It On

To get the update, go to Settings, Software Update, Download & Install. You can also download it manually from the Samsung firmware database.

Important: Before updating your phone, make sure it is at least 50% charged. It is recommended to back up your phone data in case of unforeseen circumstances.
