The director of LEGO Horizon Adventures told some details about the game's story, and also noted that it will take 7-8 hours to complete it
LEGO Horizon Adventures definitely stands out from the other PlayStation releases this year: inspired by Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn, this humorous adventure follows Eloy as she searches for her mother and finds herself caught up in a larger conflict. Unlike the original, it offers a shorter experience that can be completed in seven to eight hours, with some replayable elements yet to be revealed.
Here's What We Know
Story director James Windeler explained that the game is neither an exact retelling nor a parody:
"It’s not a faithful retelling, and neither is it a parody. We wanted to poke fun at the IP; we wanted to use all the self-referential humor that’s characteristic of Lego properties. We also very much wanted to make sure that the game had a very broad appeal […] We didn’t make the whole open-world game and put it in here. We told a story that we felt captured some of the spirit of the original, some of the themes […] ".
Unlike other LEGO games with collectible pins for upgrades, LEGO Horizon Adventures has fewer collectibles and no pin counter. Windeler compared it to playing a LEGO movie with characters from Horizon Zero Dawn, aiming to attract a wider audience.
Where To Play
Upon release, LEGO Horizon Adventures will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
