DeepCool hit by US sanctions for supplying goods to Russia

This week, the US Treasury Department imposed secondary sanctions on 16 Chinese companies. Beijing Deepcool Industries was added to their list.

Here's What We Know

DeepCool is a Chinese manufacturer of PC cases, power supplies, liquid and air cooling systems. The company fell under sanctions because it cooperated with Russian firms that were already on the sanctions list.

The companies in question are Russian companies New IT Project (3Logic Group) and Tascom. The US State Department said in a statement that DeepCool supplied them with products that are on the list of dual-use goods.

The Chinese company unveiled several new products at Computex 2024. It will not be able to sell them in the US. In addition, DeepCool's US division will be forced to stop almost all operations in the country.

For now, DeepCool products can be purchased from Amazon, MicroCenter, and Newegg. However, it is unclear how long this will last. There's also no certainty about the Chinese company's ability to provide after-sales support.
