HIMARS, Marder 1A3, Leopard 1A5, IRIS-T SLM, IRIS-T SLS and WiSENT 1 MC: Germany has committed a large military aid package to Ukraine
The German Defence Ministry has announced a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
According to the government website, as part of the new package Ukraine received 3 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles, 10 Leopard 1A5 tanks, WiSENT 1 MC engineering vehicles, Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles, Biber bridge laying vehicles and tracked engineering vehicles.
In addition, Germany sent the AFU one battery of IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missile system, 2 IRIS-T SLS launchers, 3 AMPS helicopter defence systems, as well as ammunition for artillery and other weapons. A detailed list can be found on the German government website.
