KDE Frameworks 6.3 released: interface improvements and bug fixes
The KDE Project has released KDE Frameworks 6.3, the latest update to the collection of over 70 Qt add-on libraries that extend the capabilities of KDE Plasma and KDE-based applications with essential functionality.
Here's What We Know
KDE Frameworks 6.3 improves the display of SVG images on screens with fractional zoom to reduce blurring. The appearance of small windowed dialogs and command bars in QtQuick and QtWidgets-based applications has also been improved. Other updates include improved icons in Plasma dialogs, improved checkbox interaction for window and screen sharing, and adapted Breeze icons for dark themes.
This release fixes issues such as the file search page freezing for long periods of time under heavy load, issues with the Select Install Option pop-up after upgrading to Qt 6.7, and search functionality in the Kickoff launcher. It also updates the KSvg and Kirigami.Icon elements to repaint SVGs accurately, introduces symbolic icons as references to monochrome icons, and improves Qt 6.7 support in various components.
For more information on the changes, please see the release notes.
KDE Plsams users should update KDE Frameworks to version 6.3 as soon as it is available in the stable repositories of your GNU/Linux distribution.
