Microsoft has released a new update for Windows Evaluation Programme participants that makes it easier to share files between PCs and Android devices.
Here's What We Know
The new feature adds the My Phone icon to the Windows Share panel. By clicking this icon, users can easily share files, photos, and other types of content from their computer to their Android smartphone.
This simplifies file sharing between devices without the need for cables or cloud services.
Here's How It Works
- The feature is available only to participants in the Windows Evaluation Programme.
- You need to install the Link to Phone app on Android and the Link to Phone app on PC.
- Once the devices are connected, the My Phone icon will appear in Windows Share.
- Click on the icon, select the file or other content you want to share, and select your Android device.
The update is currently only available to beta testers. It is expected to be available to all Windows 11 users in the near future.
