Pixar's Inside Out 2 grossed $295 million in its debut weekend: the project exceeded all forecasts

On 13 June, the Pixar animated film Inside Out 2 premiered. And it showed very good results.

The film was expected to gross $90 million over the weekend in the US, but it raised $150 million. Overseas, the film grossed $140 million, bringing its total global gross to $295 million.

The Incredibles 2 was the best performer among Pixar's projects, grossing $182 million in its first weekend.

The last time a film grossed so much in its first weekend was Barbie, when it made $162 million.

Inside Out 2 received a 92% freshness score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
