Apple adds transcriptions to podcasts: now you can read, not just listen
Apple has added transcriptions to podcasts in its Podcasts app. This means that users will be able to read what is said in their favourite podcasts instead of listening to them.
Here's What We Know
This feature was announced back in 2018, but it took Apple a long time to finalise it. The company wanted to make sure that the transcriptions were accurate, easy to read, and available for all episodes of all podcasts.
Currently, transcriptions are only available for new episodes, but Apple plans to add them to older episodes in the future.
This is great news for people with hearing problems, as well as for those who simply prefer reading to listening. Transcriptions can also be useful if you need to find a quick reference to certain information in a podcast.
