Logitech launches MX Ink 3D stylus for Meta Quest headsets
The well-known computer accessories manufacturer Logitech has introduced a new mixed reality stylus for Meta Quest headsets.
Here's What We Know
The MX Ink stylus will be available for USD 130 in September this year. The MX Ink comes with two tips - a thin and a wide one - that can be easily connected through the Meta Quest app. It offers pressure curve and double-tap time settings directly from the meta settings.
The stylus is compatible with Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets, but not with Quest Pro.
Logitech emphasises the ability to easily switch between the stylus and Quest headset controllers, making it the first trackable third-party peripheral to be officially supported by Quest headsets.
According to Logitech, MX Ink provides high precision thanks to its pressure-sensitive tip and six degrees of freedom spatial tracking. The stylus can work for up to seven hours on a single charge and can be charged via USB-C or a docking station sold separately.
The company also introduced an additional accessory, the MX Mat, which is a frictionless flat surface for writing and drawing.
The MX Ink will be compatible with a number of Meta Quest headset apps, as well as PC applications such as Adobe Substance Modeler and Elucis via Quest Link or Air Link.
