Romania buys Vector reconnaissance drones from German company Quantum-Systems

The Romanian Ministry of Defence has ordered a batch of Vector UAVs from the German company Quantum-Systems.

The information was shared by the drone manufacturer. The contract is for 18.4 million euros. The number of drones is not disclosed yet. It is only known that the deliveries will take place over two years.

Flashback

Vector is a reconnaissance drone with a fixed wing. Such a drone can take off and land vertically. It has a low noise engine and IP encrypted communication that transmits a video stream. The drone has a flight time of up to 120 minutes. It can fly at speeds of up to 72 kilometres per hour. By the way, the Ukrainian army is actively using the Vector UAV in the war against the Russian occupiers.
