Ukrainian Lancet: Ukraine presents a new drone "Bulava" that can reach 100 km/h

A new Ukrainian attack drone, Bulava, was recently presented at the Eurosatory 2024 international exhibition in Paris.

Here's What We Know

The Ukrainian-Czech company UAC showed a new Bulava attack drone, which is called Mace in the export version, at the stand of the National Association of Ukrainian Defence Industries (NAUDI).

The Ukrainian "Lancet" with X-shaped plumage has a powerful combined 3.6 kg thermobaric warhead and the ability to hit targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometres.

The Bulava has a total take-off weight of 11 kg, and takes off using a special catapult. The drone can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and stay in the air for up to 50 minutes due to its electric motor. The maximum flight altitude is limited to 2000 metres.

The flight can be controlled directly by the operator or by satellite coordinates. The drone is equipped with a communication module with an encrypted channel and a CRPA antenna resistant to EW interference. Bulava also uses MESH technology to transmit data via a repeater drone.

The drone is guided to the target through an optical station with a day and night thermal imaging channel. According to the developers, it can be performed by an operator or with the help of a machine vision-based system.
