Android 15 Beta 3 adds 'Adaptive Standby' option for Pixel screens

Android 15 Beta 3 now has a new option in the Pixel display settings known as "Adaptive Timeout".

Here's What We Know

This setting automatically turns off the screen when the device is not in use, using hardware such as the front-facing camera and proximity sensors. This allows your smartphone to detect whether the user is looking at the display to decide whether to lock the screen.

Although the feature is not currently working stably during testing, it complements the screen timeout settings that can be set manually.

This option is expected to become available in future versions of Android 15.
