Total sales of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin reached 2 million

Despite the fact that sales of Monster Hunter Stories have never been as high as those of the Monster Hunter series, they were still quite impressive, and to confirm this fact, Capcom has published updated information on the game's success.

In a new post on its website, the company announced that since the release of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin in 2021, the game has been purchased more than 2 million times, which is slightly higher than the 1.5 million copies sold in May 2022. The game's release on PlayStation 4 may have played a role in the sales growth.

At the time of its release, the game received 81 points from critics, but players were not very impressed, so it received only 64 points out of 100 on Metacritic.
