Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ won't get a major camera update
According to the latest leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ may not get updated main cameras, both front and rear. Sources say that both models will not get the same camera updates as their older Galaxy S25 Ultra counterpart.
Here's What We Know
Preliminary indications suggest that the Galaxy S25 will feature a 50MP main camera, while the front camera will retain a 12MP resolution like the previous Galaxy S23 and S24 models. The same camera specs will also be present on the Galaxy S25+ model. There might be changes to the ultra-wide and telephoto camera, but there's no information on that yet.
For those looking for a significant improvement in photographic capabilities, you should consider buying the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is expected to get a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 50MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 5x optical zoom.
Aside from the cameras, the new flagships could become more expensive due to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip worldwide due to Exynos 2500 production issues. Given Qualcomm's price hike for the next generation of chips, Samsung may increase the cost of the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung is expected to unveil the new series in early 2025 and more details about the upcoming devices are likely to emerge before then.
