The development of the PlayStation 5 exclusive Astro Bot has been going on for three years, and about 60 people are working on the game

The best moment of the State of Play presentation was the announcement of the action platformer Astro Bot. Among all the games shown at the summer presentations, it is the one that is most often added to the wishlist. Now it has become known how long it took Team Asobi to create such a game.

Here's What We Know

On the GI Microcast podcast, Christopher Dring, author of GamesIndustry.biz, shared the details of Astro Bot development. It took at least three years to develop, and about 60 people are making the game. Dring believes that sales of Astro Bot may exceed expectations. Many PS5 owners have already tried the free Astro's Playroom, and this may spark interest in a larger-scale sequel.

When We Can Expect It

Astro Bot will be released on 6 September on PlayStation 5 only.
