X introduces paid live streaming

Company X has announced the introduction of paid live streaming as a premium feature.

Here's What We Know

According to the announcement, soon only Premium subscribers will be able to live stream on X. This decision makes X the only major social platform to charge for this feature, as it is free on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.

Subscriptions to X Premium will be available from US$3 per month for the basic tier, with premium and premium+ tiers available for US$8 and US$16.

The company has previously used additional features offered under the subscription, such as post editing and no ads.

Elon Musk is looking to expand fees for other basic features, including the creation of new accounts for publishing in certain countries.
