Apple is developing a more affordable version of its Vision headset that will require tethering to an iPhone or Mac
A recent report from Bloomberg reveals details about the upcoming Apple Vision headset, which promises to be a more affordable alternative to the Vision Pro. According to the company's sources, the prototypes codenamed N107 have a narrower field of view and, interestingly, may require connection to an iPhone or Mac.

This changes the dynamics compared to Vision Pro, which operates autonomously without needing to be linked to other Apple devices. However, tethering to an iPhone or Mac can help reduce the cost of processing power and components, which could make the headset more affordable for a wider range of users.
Despite these changes, Apple continues to work on the second generation of Vision Pro, known as the N109, with improvements to the processor and external cameras. Although this release will be delayed, the company plans to continue supporting the high-end headset market.
Questions remain about the cost and convenience of such a headset for users.
