Motorola held a global presentation to showcase its new Razr range of foldable smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The base model of the series is the Motorola Razr 50 (aka Motorola Razr 2024). The novelty is the successor of last year's smartphone Motorola Razr 40 (aka Motorola Razr 2023). The device has received a stainless steel hinge, 6000 series aluminium frames, IPX8 protection and a larger external display up to 3.6 inches. It has a POLED matrix and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Motorola Razr 50 is powered by a new Mediatek Dimensity 7300X processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The novelty is powered by a 4,200 mAh battery and supports 30W wired charging as well as 15W wireless charging. The smartphone features stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dual 50 MP + 13 MP main camera. The front sensor has been given a 32 MP sensor.

Out of the box, the Razr 50 features Android 14 operating system. The smartphone boasts of Gemini Advanced, which gives 3 months access to Google's advanced artificial intelligence model at no extra cost. Buyers of the smartphone will also get 2 TB of cloud storage and Gemini in Google apps. For example, Gmail, Docs, and others. All this is included in the Google One AI Premium plan.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Sales of Motorola Razr 50 will start in the global market in July. The novelty will cost from $700.
