Galaxy S24 shipments to Europe in the first quarter increased year-on-year and the Galaxy A15 is the most popular smartphone in Europe
Samsung is seeing strong sales results in the European market in the first quarter of 2024, thanks to the new Galaxy S24 series. According to analytics company Canalys, the base model and the Ultra model showed a significant increase in shipments compared to last year's S23.
Here's What We Know
The Galaxy S24 Ultra has reached the 1.6 million shipments mark, while the base model has reached 1.1 million shipments. This is a significant increase over last year's S23 and S23 Ultra, which totalled 0.8 million and 0.9 million respectively.
According to Canalys, the smartphone that recorded the highest shipments in Europe in Q1 2024 was the iPhone 15 Pro Max. But also unexpectedly successful was the Galaxy A15, which, after adding up shipments of LTE and 5G versions, beat the iPhone 15 Pro Max by 0.2 million to become the best-selling phone in Europe.
Going forward, experts predict AI technology will play a key role, especially in the premium segment. Samsung is already leading the market with its innovative Galaxy AI features, while Apple will reveal its generative AI solution later this year.
