AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro and Beats Fit Pro have received a new software update

Apple has released a new version of software for AirPods and Beats.

Here's What We Know

The update is already available to users of AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro and Beats Fit Pro.

According to the official changelist, the update fixes a security issue that could cause attackers within Bluetooth range to spoof the data of the device you previously connected your headphones to. This would allow access to your headphones.

There are no other changes to the firmware.

How to update

To update, you need to put your headphones in a case and connect them to your iOS or Mac. After that, the firmware will automatically "fly" to your device.
