Audio-Technica introduces limited edition ATH-WB LTD wooden headphones

Audio-Technica has released a new model of ATH-WB LTD headphones made of natural wood. This limited edition includes only 300 pieces created in mahogany, maple and walnut.

The headphones promise a warm and detailed sound that is particularly good at conveying stringed instruments and female vocals thanks to the triple-layer construction of different types of wood.

The ATH-WB LTD utilises 45mm drivers with diamond-like carbon diaphragms, an improvement on the previous ATH-WB2022 model released for the brand's 60th anniversary. The headphones have a frequency range of 5 to 50 kHz, an impedance of 40 ohms and a sensitivity of 104 dB/mW.

For comfortable use, the headphones are equipped with a headband and ear cushions covered with sheepskin leather. The aluminium alloy housing allows the headphones to be folded for easy transport. The ATH-WB LTD connect to analogue and digital audio inputs, weigh around 320 grams and have an eye-catching design with lacquered wood.

These wireless headphones can be ordered at all Audio-Technica outlets for $1,599 if still in stock.
