Insomniac Games has no plans to port/remaster Sunset Overdrive for PlayStation yet: the studio is busy developing Marvel's Wolverine

Nowadays, Insomniac Games is best known for its Spider-Man games, but back in 2014, the studio released Sunset Overdrive exclusively for Xbox One, a third-person action game set in the bright, post-apocalyptic city of Sunset City, where the player takes on the role of a former energy drink factory worker who must fight against mutants created by the consumption of a new drink. Many people would like to see the game remastered, especially for Sony consoles, but it is not worth waiting for it yet.

Here's What We Know

One of the players asked the studio on Twitter why Insomniac would not make a port/remaster of Sunset Overdrive for PS4/PS5. Insomniac replied that the team is busy developing Marvel's Wolverine, so we should not expect anything new with Sunset Overdrive.

As a reminder, in December 2023, hackers leaked confidential information about Insomniac Games and its Marvel's Wolverine game. That period was one of the most painful for Sony's internal studio. Someone even thought that the authors had cancelled the Wolverine game, but no, it is in development.
