The first PC version of the original Resident Evil (not a remaster) is now available on GOG in the Polish shop
The GOG shop has given an answer as to why the cult horror game Resident Evil (1996) was given a new age rating.
Here's What We Know
The original version of Resident Evil, which is available on PC for the first time, has appeared in the GOG shop (previously, Steam sold an ambiguous HD remaster).
GOG has also opened pages for the second and third instalments of Resident Evil, but they will go on sale a little later this year. Customers are invited to purchase all three Resident Evil instalments as part of a single compilation, which is temporarily discounted by 17%.
GOG employees fixed long-standing bugs, made Resident Evil compatible with modern computers, improved the display of textures and staged scenes, implemented support for controllers, in particular DualSense, Switch, Xbox and others.
In the GOG-version of Resident Evil is available four localisations - English, German, French and Japanese. Like all GOG games, Resident Evil is sold without DRM protection and does not require a constant internet connection.
