Hazelight celebrates success: sales of co-operative game A Way Out from the creators of It Takes Two exceeded 9 million copies
Hazelight Studios recently announced that sales of its masterpiece co-operative adventure game It Takes Two have surpassed 16 million copies. It was voted 'Best Game of 2021' and has become one of the most unusual and beloved games of the last decade.
Amidst such a huge success of It Takes Two, many gamers seem to have forgotten about the existence of another equally great game by Josef Fares - A Way Out.
Here's What We Know
Today, developers from Hazelight reported that A Way Out sales have exceeded 9 million copies since the game's release in 2018.
Recall, the game tells the story of two mates who are trying to escape from prison. They get into difficult situations, from which the players can get out, only by acting together.
Many elements of A Way Out found their reflection in It Takes Two, where they were finalised and improved.
Hazelight thanks its audience and promises to provide some behind-the-scenes footage of the development of It Takes Two and hints that gamers won't want to miss it.
