Xiaomi 15 Pro may get a battery with new technology, but may not get a variable iris like its predecessor
According to the latest information provided by reliable insider Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone promises to bring one controversial and one positive change.
Here's What We Know
As we already know, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, the main attention is drawn to the change in the camera: Xiaomi will abandon the use of a variable aperture in favour of a fixed one, which may affect the usability of shooting in different lighting conditions. Despite this, photo quality is expected to remain at a high level.
At the same time, Xiaomi is innovating battery technology by utilising a silicon-carbon battery with a negative electrode. This will increase the battery capacity to 5500 mAh, while keeping the weight of the device under 200 grams.
The previous models, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, were unveiled in October last year and the new product is expected to hit the market around the same period this year. The question of the global launch of the Xiaomi 15 Pro remains open, given that last year's model never made it to international markets.
