Ubisoft's future is based on the past: the head of the company confirmed the development of remakes of old parts of Assassin's Creed
Almost a year ago there was the first information that Ubisoft is developing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake, and before that there were vague rumours that the company will release an updated version of the first part of the series.
Well, finally Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed the approximate plans of the publisher.
Here's What We Know
Yves Guillemot said that the company will continue to focus on releasing action-adventure games with a spacious open world. He recalled the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows, which are both created in this concept.
However, much more interestingly, Guimault confirmed intentions to release several remakes of older Assassin's Creed instalments. He did not specify which games will be modernised, but the most logical contenders seem to be Black Flag and Assassin's Creed 1.
The head of Ubisoft emphasised that the company is going to increase the variety of games in the series and provide players with different gaming experience.
The goal is to have Assassin's Creed games released more regularly, but not to get the same gameplay every year. There's a lot of good things in store for us in the future, including the announced Assassin's Creed Hexe, which will be very different from Assassin's Creed Shadows. I think you'll be surprised.
