A new take on the souls-like genre: 20 minutes of gameplay from Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has been unveiled
A44 Games studio and publisher Kepler Interactive presented an extensive gameplay trailer of action-RPG Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.
Here's What We Know
Recall, the developers position Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn as an ideal game for those who want to immerse themselves in the souls-like genre, but most of such games are too complicated for them.
In the trailer, viewers are shown exploring a once thriving city-state that has descended into chaos and destruction. The trailer also shows the battles with numerous enemies, in which the player uses various types of cold and firearms, and can also call on the help of the faithful pet Enki.
The combat system in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn relies heavily on a sense of rhythm - every nine frames is like the beat of a metronome. Thus, the player understands when the next attack will happen and reacts accordingly.
When We Can Expect It
The developers reported that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn "went gold", so its release will definitely take place on 18 July on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and EGS), on the day of release the game will appear in the Xbox Game Pass library.
