Insider: Astro Bot will take up 66GB on the PS5's SSD drive - that's six times more than Astro's Playroom
Right after the announcement of action-platformer Astro Bot, developers from Team Asobi said that the game will be much bigger than Astro's Playroom, which was essentially a demo game of the PlayStation 5's technical capabilities and is pre-installed on every console.
Here's What We Know
Japanese insider Genki posted a photo of the physical edition of Astro Bot. The disc box states that the game will require 66GB of free SSD space to install - in comparison, Astro's Playroom only takes up 11GB. This difference confirms that the sequel will be about 6 times the size of the first instalment.

As a reminder, Astro Bot offers players 6 galaxies, 80 levels, over 15 new abilities for unique playthrough styles, unusual and extremely colourful location design, as well as a relaxed atmosphere and light humour. It's funny that Astro will be travelling around the planets on a DualSense flying gamepad, and the PS5 is used for travelling through space.
When We Can Expect It
Astro Bot will release on 6 September only on PlayStation 5, and the game is available for pre-order.
