Back to the 2010s: Sharp Simple Sumaho 7 smartphone with physical buttons, 50 MP camera and Android 14 unveiled
Japanese company Sharp has introduced the Sharp Simple Sumaho 7 smartphone in the home market, which is apparently aimed at older users or those nostalgic for the 2000s-2010s.
Here's What We Know
On the front, there's a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and fairly thin bezels, and below it is a block with three physical control buttons. This is a design we haven't seen in 10-15 years.
Despite the outdated design, the equipment of the novelty is pretty good: Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, 4/64 GB of memory and a 4000 mAh battery. In addition, the smartphone runs Android 14.
The rear panel houses a 50 MP camera, while there is an 8 MP front-facing camera for selfies. There's also NFC and IP68 water and dust protection.
The fact that the smartphone is primarily designed for older people is also evidenced by the fonts and icons of increased size.
Sharp Simple Sumaho 7 is estimated at $375.
