Gemini AI is now available in the Google Messages app on Android

Google has announced a new update to its popular app, Google Messages, which adds support for Gemini artificial intelligence. After successful integration with Gmail, this feature is now available for Messages users.

Here's What We Know

Gemini AI will appear as a new action button next to the Start Chat button, allowing users to quickly access various AI features without leaving the app. They will be able to ask questions and receive various answers right within the chat.

Nevertheless, users should keep in mind that Gemini AI does not read private conversations and does not track users' location, limiting itself to general data about IP address or home address to perform its functions.

The chat history with Gemini is stored by default for up to 18 months, but this period can be changed in the app settings.
