Apple considers partnerships with Sony, Samsung and LG for new Apple Vision headset

Apple has turned to more OLED panel manufacturers to prepare for the upcoming Apple Vision mixed reality headset.

Here's What We Know

Sony is currently supplying OLED-on-Silicon panels for the current Apple Vision Pro, but reports suggest that Apple is also discussing possibilities with Samsung and LG. These new panels are larger (2.0-2.1 inches) and have lower resolutions, which may indicate the development of less expensive mixed reality headset models aimed at a wider market.

It's also worth noting that Samsung is considering supplying a different panel technology that could provide higher levels of brightness.

Apple is expected to continue to work with Sony to supply panels for Apple Vision Pro, while the search for other suppliers continues.
