Over its opening weekend, A Quiet Place: Day One grossed $53 million in the US, the best performance in the series' history
Back in 2018, we were introduced to the A Quiet Place franchise, in which blind aliens with perfect hearing invaded the Earth, making the whole planet mute. In the summer of 2024, the third film in the series, A Quiet Place, was released: Day One, which is a prequel and tells the story of the first days of our world's silence, and it performed quite well at the box office.
Here's What We Know
During its opening weekend, the film grossed $53 million in the US, which is the best result in the franchise. Before the film's premiere, it was predicted to make $40 million over the first weekend. Outside of America, Day One earned 45 million, bringing its total box office to 98 million.
A quiet place: Day One received an 84% freshness score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes.
