Ubisoft Toronto has laid off 33 developers: the studio joined the development of Prince of Persia remake just a month ago: The Sands of Time remake.

We wrote that in early June, Ubisoft Toronto, which made Watch Dogs: Legion and Far Cry 6, joined the development of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. And now the studio has made some new announcements...

Here's What We Know

Ubisoft Toronto has laid off 33 developers. The company said that the decision was due to the fact that "Ubisoft Toronto has decided to conduct a focused reorganisation to ensure the execution of its ambitious roadmap".

Ubisoft Toronto noted that the layoffs will not affect ongoing projects, including the remakes of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Splinter Cell.

We hope that the 33 former Ubisoft Toronto employees will find new jobs as soon as possible.
