Sky Dust, a stylish pixelated metroidvania in a cyberpunk setting, has been announced

Developers from Orbit Studio, known for indie games Retro Machina and Ebenezer and the Invisible World, have announced their new project.

Here's What We Know

The public was presented the debut trailer of Sky Dust - a classic metroidvania in the setting of the same classic cyberpunk.

In the world of the game there was some global catastrophe, as a result of which human civilisation has changed a lot, and morality, kindness and honesty are no longer valued. Society is ruled by authoritative people who use the services of mercenaries, one of whom will be the protagonist.

In terms of gameplay Sky Dust is a familiar action-platformer with a side view, dynamic gameplay, multi-level locations and a lot of fast enemies.

The visual style of the game is pixelated, but everything is made as atmospheric and contrasting as possible and fully reflects the dystopian world inherent to the works in the cyberpunk genre. The same applies to the aggressive electronic music, which perfectly emphasises the dynamics and mood of the game.

When We Can Expect It

Sky Dust release date is still unknown. So far only PC(Steam) version is announced.
