A new faction, additional modes and three weapons: everything you need to know about the first season of XDefiant's online shooter

Today in the conditionally free-to-play shooter XDefiant, which is favoured by the public and has attracted11 million players, the first season starts.

On the eve Ubisoft held a special broadcast, where they spoke in detail about all the innovations.

Here's What We Know

The main innovation of Season 1 will be the appearance of another faction in the game - GSK, known from Rainbow Six Siege. Clubhouse map will remind of the popular Ubisoft shooter, and two more maps - Daytona and Rockefeller - will be added in August and September.

The developers will add three new weapons that can be obtained as part of the free battle pass. These will include the LVOA-C assault rifle, the L115 sniper rifle and the sawed-off shotgun as additional weapons.

XDefiant will offer a "Capture the Flag" mode, as well as introduce a full-fledged ranked mode, in which players will fight in 4*4 matches, and opponents will be automatically selected according to the skills and statistics of players.

The first season will also feature a full-fledged progression system that rewards players for improving their skills and consistently participating in XDefiant matches.
