Google Photos updates interface for faster access to private folder on Android and iOS

After introducing cross-device syncing last year, Google Photos makes it much easier to open a closed folder on Android and iOS.

Here's What We Know

Previously, you could access a private folder by opening Google Photos, going to the Library tab, tapping Utilities in the top right of the 2×2 grid, and scrolling to the Organise Your Library heading.

The Private Folder is now displayed right next to your Favourites, Archive, and Recycle Bin for much faster access. Your personal folder is now located right in the navigation bar.

Most of the functions that were previously located in the Utilities panel have been moved to the Apps panel. Here you'll find Create a New Album, Collage, Video Selection, Cinematic Photos, Animation, Books, Printouts, Get Photos with shortcuts to Share with Partner and Import from Other Places.

This new location for the closed Google Photos folder is available for Android (version 6.89) and iOS.
