A thinner and wider version of the Galaxy Fold 6 smartphone will be available later this year in limited quantities
According to recent reports, Samsung is developing a new, thinner model of its flagship foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold 6.
Here's What We Know
According to information from TheElec, the device will get larger screens: 6.5-inch external and 8-inch internal, which is more compared to the regular Fold 6 ( 6.3 and 7.6-inch screens). The new product is expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will be available in limited quantities of 400,000 to 500,000 units in several countries, including China.
Samsung is keen to showcase the potential for thinner devices, but to achieve this goal it has had to rule out compatibility with the S Pen. While there are no details on the specifications, it is expected to be higher than the standard version. Rumours also suggest the possibility of high-end cameras, but it remains to be seen whether the new Galaxy Fold 6 will be able to match the cameras of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
