Samsung expands Galaxy AI capabilities with call transfer in WhatsApp

Samsung continues to integrate Galaxy AI into users' daily lives by introducing a new Live Translate feature for voice calls on WhatsApp.

The company recently announced live call translation support for third-party apps and WhatsApp will be the first app with this feature, according to a whistleblower @UniverseIce. The innovation is expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 10 July along with the launch of Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6 running on One UI 6.1.1.

The Live Translate feature handles data on the device, ensuring privacy and security of information. In addition to WhatsApp, Samsung plans to extend the feature to Google Meet and WeChat, but official confirmation is yet to come.
