The iPhone 16 is expected to see high demand, including through the introduction of Apple Intelligence AI
Analyst firm Wedbush has reported that a significant increase in sales is coming with the release of the new iPhone 16 range. Artificial Intelligence (AI), dubbed Apple Intelligence, is expected to be a key driver of interest and mass upgrades to the devices.
Here's What We Know
Based on supply chain checks in Asia, Wedbush suggests that China experienced the last quarter with negative iPhone sales growth. This should change in September with the launch of the iPhone 16.
Wedbush also noted that if Apple extends its AI features to all 2.2 billion active devices, the company will become a "pass-through" for consumers and force AI developers to follow the integration model announced by Apple in partnership with OpenAI and ChatGPT.
Having other companies join in this direction could create a "multi-faceted AI revenue stream" that would add $10 billion to Apple's annual growth. The unspecified monetisation opportunities also boost both Apple's services and hardware sales, which in turn will boost the company's share price.
