Google Assistant features may soon be integrated into Gemini

According to a recent APK breakdown, Google is working on expanding the capabilities of Gemini, its AI-powered chatbot, allowing it to perform more functions that are currently only available to Google Assistant.

Here's What We Know

Expected features:

• Alarms and timers: Gemini will be able to set alarms and timers on its own, without the need to use the Google Assistant.
• Lock screen: The new lock screen feature will allow users to control Gemini, reply to messages, play music, control smart home devices and more without unlocking the device.
• Lock screen extensions: Gemini extensions, such as the new Clock tool, will be available on the lock screen.
• Gemini Live: This new background mode will allow users to continue chatting in Gemini chats even when they are using other apps or when the screen is locked.
