Apple has released a new beta software for AirPods Pro 2 with iOS 18 features
Apple has announced new test firmware for the 2nd generation AirPods Pro.
What's new
The system has received build number 7A5244b and it is already available to the developer. In the new version of the software, Apple has added some features that were shown during the iOS 18 presentation. For example, users can now answer incoming calls using head movements. You can shake your head "no" if you don't want to answer the call or nod to accept it.
There's also Voice Isolation, which reduces loud background sounds and makes it easier to hear audio during calls. Apple has also added Personalised Spatial Audio to the software.
How to install
Users of AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C and Lightning can install the new beta version of the system. To do this, you need to put the beta version of iOS 18, as well as the macOS Sequoia beta and the Xcode beta. Then you need to connect the headphones to your iPhone and the iPhone to your computer. Next, you need to launch Xcode and select Pre-Release Beta Firmware under AirPods Testing. After that, the update will "arrive over the air" to your headphones within a day.
